Kristin: I would like to introduce Dr Tom O’Bryan who is an internationally recognized speaker and he is the founder of TheDr.com and also he is behind The Gluten Summit.
Hi Tom, thank you for being here today, I know today we’re going to be talking about Dangers Of A Gluten-free Diet. Before we get started can you maybe tell us a little bit about The Gluten Summit and what exactly is that?
Dr Tom O’Bryan: Yes, thank you, thank you Kristin it’s really a pleasure to be with you and I want to acknowledge the work you’re doing to carry this message out. I know how stressful it is for families that have autism or someone on the autism spectrum and how stressful it is to learn how do I help this body function better. Kudos to you for the summit that you’re doing and all the work that you guys do. I think it’s just fabulous, thank thank you so much from all of us. It’s really quite quite remarkable.
The gluten summit in 2013 I traveled the world and I interviewed the world leaders on the topic of gluten sensitivity with or without celiac disease. For example, if someone is being tested for celiac disease, which is when you have a gluten sensitivity affecting your gut, doesn’t have to affect your gut. It may just affect your brain but, if it affects your gut and you have the genes for this you can develop what’s called celiac disease…
